hello.
back from shepherding vienne and min, drama practice (for thurs mcg) and badminton.
i felt quite bad leh. cause i was kind of serious during shepherding. i guess it was because of my adrenaline rush. hahaa. sounds dumb. but, im really excited to see souls being won, people crossing that line of faith this saturday! i believe that God's gonna do a great work in the people's life. (:
anyway. this thing suddenly came to me as a thought.
i guess i should go talk to my shepherd about it.
anyway. i think i should learn to evaluate my day every night. it's a good habit you know? it's like counting God's blessings. yaa. and i think in this way, i learn something new everyday as well. it's very interesting you know. i think God never fails to amaze me of interesting ways where i can grow to be like Him. (:
speak to build up; not to tear down.
speak highly of others.
okay. i want to speak highly of others. i don want to put them down in any way. im trying my very best to avoid putting others down in a way or other.
yay yay yay!
the power of words
i've come to realise the power of words. how just one word can hurt a person for a very very very long period of time, or even a lifetime. others may seem strong on the outside, but inside, they might be very emotional and sensitive, so we wont know whether these words would actually hurt them or not.
stones and sticks may hurt my bone,
but names will never hurt me.
[not sure about the last sentence] many of us may have heard that many times. but you'll never know what it's like to be condemned/insulted until you've experienced it. yaa. so let's do unto others what you want others to do to you. i shall learn not to use discriminative words on people anymore. i want to build others up! no more the meanie old me! (:
and also, because girls and guys are created so differently, that sometimes we misinterprete what the opposite gender says. so i think we got to be very careful with our speech and all. yupp. thank God for this fruitful day. (:
it's a happy day, and i thank God for the weather!
